For the vast majority of us (I’m talking 99.99%), the prospect of owning a Lamborghini Countach is nothing more than a poster-on-childhood-bedroom-wall fantasy. But with the forthcoming release of the LEGO Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole, the sheer gulf between reality and dreams has just been ever so slightly narrowed.

Comprised of 1,506 pieces, this scale model of the iconic supercar is painfully authentic — from the red cockpit, functional steering, opening trunk, and rear hood; to the scissor doors, meticulously detailed V12 engine, and unmistakable rear (spoiler and all). A must-cop for any bona fide enthusiast.

As for the dimensions, we’re dealing with 13 inches (33 centimetres) in length by 6.5 inches (16.5 centimetres) in width and 3.5 inches (8.9 centimetres) in height. This means it shouldn’t be too difficult to find parking on a shelf somewhere. Perhaps even at the very centre of a coffee table depending on how much of a say you have when it comes to your own pad’s interior design choices.

The original Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole rolled off the production line in 1985 with a 5.2-litre V12 engine featuring four valves per cylinder (hence “Quattrovalvole” or “four valves”). Effectively, it was capable of generating 449 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque; which translates to a 0-100 sprint time of 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 298 km/h.

The LEGO Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole will be available to purchase from July 4th, 2024 for a (relatively) reasonable $299.99, and unlike its real-life counterpart, it won’t be limited to just 610 examples.
