Every week, Boss Hunting’s editors spend far too much time scouring the web: in search of the coolest gear, food & drink, and destinations worth trekking to across the globe.

In our latest edition of ‘Good Finds’, we’ve got covetable leather goods, the ultimate lightweight serum, Alfonso Cuarón’s upcoming miniseries for Apple TV, and plenty more.

Tod’s Shopping Bag In Cord & Leather

Good Finds

We’ve previously published an entire Buyer’s Guide dedicated to the humble and indispensable tote bag, but this riff by the Italian leather house Tod’s is certainly the priciest one I’ve ever recommended.

Indicative of the fresher, more lively direction that Matteo Tamburini — Tod’s new Creative Director — is taking the brand in, these ‘shopping bags’ still feature plenty of premium leather accents. Albeit now balanced against a linen cord construction that is strong and moisture-resistant: hence perfect for the summer.

A beige-and-black colour block version is also available.

‘Disclaimer’ (Streaming October 11th)

Our relentless News Editor, Mister Garry Lu, has already explained why Disclaimer is shaping up to be the most binge-worthy TV series of 2024. But in case you needed any more convincing: the first full-length trailer for this seven-part miniseries, headlined by Aussie “acting royalty” Cate Blanchett, just dropped.

Directed and adapted by Academy Award-winner Alfonso Cuarón, we already get the sense, from all the appropriately cryptic footage, that this will probably be Blanchett’s most devastating performance since Tár.

Check out the full trailer above.

Paula’s Choice Ultra-Light Super Antioxidant Concentrate Serum

Not content with being the BH office’s resident fragrance guru, my colleague Andrew turns his attention in this week’s ‘Good Finds’ to skincare. Specifically, Paula’s Choice.

The American skincare label shot to broad-spectrum popularity with its reputation for clinically researched, active ingredient-rich products, of which this serum (which also happens to be on sale) is a typical example. In Andrew’s own words:

“It’s full of really great ingredients that you don’t often find in a single product: niacinimide, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, resveratrol, the list of effective antioxidants goes on. Basically, it’s a fantastic ‘do all’ serum in a light, comfortable texture.”

Wolf ‘Philipp’ Watch & Jewellery Lifestyle Box

Good Finds

If you’re even the teeniest bit a watch person (and with a team of guys like Nick Kenyon and James Want at your disposal, we certainly hope you are) you’ll have heard of the brand ‘WOLF.’

Founded by a German silversmith in 1834, over the centuries the company has become synonymous with the finest watch & jewellery accessories in the world, with boutiques in London, LA, and Hong Kong.

The company celebrates its 190th birthday this year and, in the spirit of really pushing the boat out, has unveiled five collections each inspired by successive generations in the Wolf family.

My own tastes err pretty conventional, so it was unsurprising that I gravitated instantly to the ‘Philipp’: a watch & jewellery chest that is modelled after a similar design created by Philip Wolf IV, whose nickname on the brand’s factory floor was “The Aviator.”

Consequently, the ‘Philipp’ channels the look and romance of a vintage prop plane: clad in sumptuous chestnut-brown leather and five thoughtfully designed compartments: worthy of your finest Cartier cufflink and AP perpetual calendar combo.

Le Coste Litrozzo Bianco 2022

A big ol’ soupcon of a white wine, Le Coste’s ‘Litrozzo’ (literally the Italian for “litre”) contrasts its big, long-lunch-friendly size with a level of winemaking that is downright granular in detail.

Made to be quaffed young, it’s built around a range of field grapes that are commonly grown in Italy’s Lazio region: Procanico, Malvasia, Roscetto, et cetera.

For present purposes, all you need to know is that it tastes of “sandstone and sunshine,” clearly capturing a terroir that has been underserved next to the Barolos and Montalcinos of the world.

Certified natural, the 2022 vintage of ‘Litrozzo’ is also made with some light skin contact (i.e. 48 hours).
