Simon Pegg and Nick Frost are set to reunite for another chuckle-inducing jaunt. This time around, the leading talents behind Edgar Wright’s Cornetto Trilogy – Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World’s End – will be revisiting their battle-tested chemistry for the upcoming Amazon series, Truth Seekers,
Similar to the Cornetto Trilogy, the subject matter will be a blend of the paranormal / sci-fi and humour. Frost will, of course, stick to his brand of playing a lonely dude named Gus who doesn’t exactly have any real-life prospects. Gus installs broadband while undertaking amateur paranormal investigations – apparently on a mission to find some truth in it all and possibly make contact with someone dear to him who has since stepped away into the great beyond (“died” for those of you who found that prose too euphemistic).
Pegg, on the other hand, will be assuming the role of Dave – the owner of the broadband company / Gus’ boss. Contrary to their past gigs together, Pegg and Frost won’t be allied onscreen, as it is revealed that the former’s character may be secretly up to something “nefarious”. Certainly a rare turn of events for the perennial nice guy Pegg to be playing a potential villain.

Truth Seekers will be available to stream starting October 30th.
