LEGO simply cannot stop dropping bangers at the moment. Recently, the Danish purveyors of bricked fun have released everything from a 1.5-metre tall Eiffel Tower and faithful recreation of Hokusai’s Wave; to a Classic Defender 90 kit and 4,000-piece Batman Cave. Today, they’ve dropped yet another certifiable treat with the announcement of a 2,000-piece LEGO Concorde kit.
While the LEGO “scene” kits are cool — such as the $800 Lord of the Rings Rivendell set or The Office kit based on the US TV show — there’s just something endlessly appealing about LEGO vehicles. Even if the ones we can buy are considerably smaller than the LEGO McLaren Formula 1 race car.

As you’d expect from the legends over at LEGO, this metre-long model is insanely detailed in its execution — complete with a hinging droop nose, flappable rudders, and even an area you can open that shows the seats in the cabin. Whether you prefer it landed, in take-off mode, or full flight, the LEGO Concorde comes with a display stand to showcase it in all its glory.
With a total of 2,083 pieces, the fully assembled model measures 105 centimetres in length, 43 centimetres from wing tip to wing tip, and 15 centimetres tall. For those looking to cop, it’ll set you back $299, and once again, is officially available starting today (September 7th). Buy it here.
