With FIFA 20 just a few weeks away from launch, EA Sports has released its annual player ratings for the annual football game to keep the hype train steaming along.
As expected, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi and Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo (or Piemonte Calcio as the team will awkwardly be referred to in this year’s game) take out the top two spots.
The diminutive Argentinian pipped his long-time rival by just one point, coming in at number one with 94 points, ahead of Ronaldo who finished the rankings in second place at 93.
The top five also include PSG’s Brazilian forward Neymar Jr. with a rating of 92 and both Real Madrid’s latest acquisition, Eden Hazard, and Manchester City’s midfield dynamo, Kevin de Bruyne, equal with a score of 91.

2018 Ballon d’Or Winner and Real Madrid weapon Luka Modric finishes in ninth place ahead of Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
