Not only do we have an official release date for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, but based on the gameplay reveal trailer, solid confirmation that the iconic “No Russian” mission featured in 2009’s Modern Warfare 2 is making a return.
In the days since this article was initially published, Activision has also confirmed the forthcoming title will bring back a whole heap of classic maps from the first Modern Warfare 2, as well as the beloved Zombies game mode.
How bloody good.

Eagle-eyed fans of the FPS franchise recently got their hands on yet-to-be-released Monster Energy packaging with the following:

Before long, the imagery was circulated online, spawning a smattering of fan-made mock-ups, and forcing Activision to address the issue. Which they promptly did with a few rather tongue-in-cheek tweets:
“Whew. Mondays. Anyone have an energy drink they can spare?”
… and…
“Jokes on you, the real key art is here. We’ll share out artistic abilities even more next week,” accompanied by a crude stick figure and “Modern Warfare Redacted?” in comic sans.

There has been much speculation surrounding the next entry into the Call of Duty reboot.
Last November, after the announcement that Activision would build upon its “current momentum” into 2023 during the publisher’s Q3 financial results, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier indicated we were in for a “premium” release. Though not a standalone.
It does, however, appear as though the noted video game journalist was off on his prediction, as we’re now staring down the barrel of yet another flagship release.
Let me make this super clear:

– The next game, by Treyarch, is coming out in 2024
– Next year there will be a Modern Warfare II "premium" (paid) expansion by Sledgehammer
– It's supposed to have lots of content! Maybe that's why they call it a "full" release. But it's more MWII https://t.co/jXKAiMFcTf
Once again, the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 release date has been set for November 10 of 2023 — check out the epic trailer above.
