With dynamic play styles, the AI will keep you on your toes ensuring that no two games play the same.” - Multiplayer
“Play with friends or matchmake against other Catanians from around the world in multiplayer. Gather your resources and trade to build your settlements across Catan to become the winning Catanian in multiplayer.” - Couch Co-Op
“Play locally for the first time with friends! You can now play with up to four (4) friends in the living room! Using your smart phone, connect to the game to track your cards without your friends seeing what’s in your hand.”

And similar to other real-time strategy games such as Sid Meier’s Civilization series, the experience can be customised, allowing players to enjoy different board arrangements and engage with rule sets.
The Setters of Catan was created by Klaus Teuber and first released back in 1996. The game involves establishing settlements + cities in the fictional island of Catan, where players must barter and compete against one another for the island’s resources. The player who successfully establishes the most settlements + cities by acquiring said resources wins.
In addition to being the subject of a movie adaptation that’s reportedly on the way, to date, Catan has sold over 22 million board versions worldwide in 50 different countries, with its very own world championship tournament hosted every year.
