Sony has finally given Fast & Furious Crossroads a gameplay trailer. And all we’ll say about the upcoming multi-platform release is that it looks as fun as the movies. Yes – despite the franchise’s many issues, there’s no denying it consistently looks fun if nothing else.
According to its official description:
Fast & Furious Crossroads is set across global locations and features main characters from the Fast & Furious film franchise. The game offers a new authentic story line and non-stop cinematic-style action, which packs with loads of gadgets and sports cars. In addition to the single-player mode, which focuses on the story, a multiplayer mode will be also available in the game.
Vin Diesel, Michaelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson have reprised their roles as voice actors for the game. Based on what we know, these three characters – Dom, Letty, and Roman – will be the playable “heroes”. For now. I have a sneaking suspicion that DLCs will be staggered months after the main game’s release.
Fast & Furious Crossroads was originally scheduled for a May 2020 release date before COVID-19 related delays pushed it back to August. Once August rolls around, however, it’ll be available to play on PS4, Xbox One, PC – and I imagine next-gen consoles, as well.
