It’s no secret that Guy Ritchie likes to work with the same talent over and over and over again, but before the world has even gotten a chance to experience his latest projects – The Covenant (formerly The Interpreter) starring Jake Gyllenhaal; The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare starring Henry Cavill and Eiza Gonzalez – the director has already re-enlisted all three for his next big-budget action film.
While details are still rather sparse at this current stage, the story will apparently involve two extraction specialists who must plan an escape path for a high-level female negotiator. Expect plenty of Ritchie’s signature humour.
“There’s something special that happens when you collaborate with the same partners regularly: you build a shorthand and a trust that lets everybody do their best work,” said Guy Ritchie (via Deadline).

“Jake, Henry, and Eiza are all astonishingly talented, committed, and engaging actors. This is going to be an action-packed movie that is both intellectually stimulating and physically exhilarating.”
This untitled project is scheduled to begin rolling cameras on location in Spain later this year. As per his usual MO, Ritchie has penned the original screenplay, and will also produce alongside longtime collaborator Ivan Atkinson, as well as Black Bear International’s John Friedberg, who produced Ritchie’s last two features.
Guy Ritchie’s next movie will effectively mark the third occasion he’s teamed up with Henry Cavill after The Man From U.N.C.L.E. and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare; the second occasion he’s teamed up with Eiza Gonzalez after The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare; and also the second occasion with Jake Gyllenhaal after The Covenant.
The Covenant is now screening in global cinemas while The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare is set to premiere sometime in 2024.
