Inside Disneyland’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Theme Park

— Updated on 30 July 2021

The spectacular new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge theme park at Disneyland Anaheim, California, has been three years in the making and is aimed at Star Wars fans looking to immerse themselves within their favourite film franchise.

The experience allows visitors to fly the Millennium Falcon, build their own lightsaber, and try the much talked about blue milk concoction Luke Skywalker enjoys knocking back in the films.

The theme park covers an area by the name of Black Spire Outpost, a “wretched hive of scum and villainy” similar in design to the Tatooine town of Mos Eisley from Star Wars: A New Hope. Along with a number of Star Wars-themed rides, fans can purchase all sorts of official merch, eat and drink a variety of intergalactic meals and beverages, meet famous Star Wars characters, and even create their own droid to take home.

As far as theme parks go, Disney has spared no expense, making Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge the ultimate fanboy experience for anyone with a soft spot for the Star Wars universe. Prices vary from day to day but a single entry ticket to the park is between AU$150 – $250, depending on the time of your visit.

Disneyland Star Wars: Galaxy Edge is now open, although reservations are required before June 24. For more information visit the theme parks official website here
