Amazon made waves on their Prime Video streaming service last year when John Krasinski took up the role of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan in the first season of the television spy-thriller of the same name.
Such a positive reception meant that it didn’t take long for the series to be picked up for a second and even third season, with the former coming to our screens as early as this year.
While the explosive teaser doesn’t give much away about the plot, it’s clear that Ryan has his hands full in South America trying to tie up loose ends after last season’s brief jaunt in the Middle East.
Alongside John Krasinski, Wendell Pierce reprises his role as Ryan’s boss James Greer, while Noomi Rapace joins the cast as a German intelligence officer, as does Michael Kelly, who will join Ryan on team CIA in the field.
The second season of Jack Ryan doesn’t have an official release date, but Amazon has confirmed it’ll drop on Prime Video in late 2019.
