Next week Netflix will release a limited drama series starring Sacha Baron Cohen as you’ve never seen him before.
From the executive producer of Homeland, The Spy follows the true story of a former Mossad agent, Eli Cohen, who went undercover in Syria in the early 1960s. Cohen gets perilously close to ambitious leaders in the regime and uncovers Syria’s hostile anti-Israel initiatives.
Sacha Baron Cohen stars alongside Noah Emmerich, Hadar Ratzon Rotem, and Waleed Zuaiter in The Spy, which is written and directed by Emmy-winner Gideon Raff and will drop on Netflix September 6.
