The Sicario sequel has just been re-named to the much more elegant Sicario: Day of the Soldado, as opposed to the clunkier former title, Sicario 2: Soldado (though still not quite as elegant as if it was just Soldado, but I digress).
This change has been accompanied with an all-new, full length trailer, though some things remain the same. The plot still follows the administration in Washington’s morally ambiguous stance on transnational crime, blurring the lines between state-sanctioned terrorism and regular old terrorism, as well as the blurring of the lines between terrorism and organised crime. This all culminates in the events of the upcoming film, when radical extremists begin co-operating with drug cartels to get across the border.
