Cult cartoon classic and 90’s mainstay Rocko’s Modern Life is back, with kids network juggernaut Nickelodeon releasing the first peek of the show’s upcoming movie at San Diego Comic-Con this week. The reboot will focus on everyone’s favourite wallaby Rocko and his friends, Heffer and Filburt, returning to earth after being launched into space in 1996, forcing them to navigate the perils of 21st century living.
90’s movies and tv shows seem to hit peak nostalgia for many, so the news show creator Joe Murray has reunited with original voice actors Carlos Alazraqui (voice of Rocko and his dog Spunky), Tom Kenny (Heffer), Charlie Adler and Doug Lawrence for the first sighting of Rocko in more than 20 years will be warmly welcomed by many fans.
Rocko’s Modern Life: Static Cling is scheduled to premiere on Nickelodeon in 2018, but hit the link above for a closer look in the mean time.
