You can always count on Matt Stone & Trey Parker to tackle the most ridiculous aspects of our culture, and South Park: Joining The Panderverse promises to be no different.
Aiming their satirical crosshairs at studios that force diversity with financial incentives in mind under the guise of #progress, this forthcoming “special event” (read: television movies) demonstrates what the practice actually resembles from the audience’s perspective.
Which certainly won’t ruffle any feathers at all. /s
The plot synopsis is as follows:
“Cartman’s deeply disturbing dreams portend the end of the life he knows and loves. The adults in South Park are also wrestling with their own life decisions as the advent of AI is turning their world upside down.”
In addition to writing, directing, and voice acting, Trey Parker & Matt Stone have also executive produced alongside Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Christopher Brion has served as Creative Director of South Park Digital Studios.
This marks the fifth “special event” Matt Stone & Trey Parker have released since inking their blockbuster MTV Entertainment Studios deal after:
- South Park: Post Covid (2021)
- South Park: Post Covid: The Return of Covid (2021)
- South Park The Streaming Wars (2022)
- South Park The Streaming Wars Part 2 (2022)
