Netflix sure knows how to play the hype game.
After months of teasing, the first official teaser trailer for Martin Scorsese’s US$200 million Netflix mob flick, The Irishman, has dropped overnight.
The Irishman, which was officially announced way back in February at the Academy Awards, tells the story of hitman Frank Sheeran (De Niro) who sets out on a mission that spans decades to kill union crime boss Jimmy Hoffa (Pacino).
The Irishman will open the New York Film Festival and reportedly cost more than US$1 per subscriber to make. You can catch your first glimpse of the Scorsese epic below.
