Comedian, actor, and creator of the hit Netflix show Master of None, Aziz Ansari was just honoured with the Britannia award, and his acceptance speech was just… phenomenal.
The tone of the verbal diatribe was extremely fitting, given that the award itself is for Excellence in Comedy. In the three minute long rant, no hostages are taken, and no bars are held, as Ansari elaborates on the absurdity of having to fly from London back to LA in order to receive a British award, the banal and monotonous nature of these types of events, while ending it on a sincere and grateful note.
