Merry Christmas tech-heads. The Australian festival gods have somehow pulled together some of the world’s best DJ’s and are set to hit the shores of Sydney this weekend. The collection of heavy-hitting dons will be lighting up the stages of Days Like This Festival on Saturday 11th March, with a similar lineup hitting Pitch Festival in Melbourne from 10th-13th March. Yes, five of these names are ranked in Resident Advisor’s Top #100 DJ’s. And no, for any peanut-head who lives with their head in the sand, RA’s Top #100 is nothing like the DJ Mag’s ‘phuq-boy-Hardwell-pay-your-way-to-the-top’ top #100 DJ’s – it is a global and credible indicator of truth for true music lovers (much to the dismay of some die-hard fans).
In my lifetime, there has never been a time where so many world-class tech and house DJ’s have played at one event in Sydney (f there has been, feel free to comment when it was). Collectively, the full lineup plays to a crowd of millions each year, and now we’re just 3 days away from having a delectable abundance of eye-shaking, sonic wizardry caressed upon our eardrums. Here are some of the big names to look forward to. Happy shape-cutting, Bosses.
