Off the back of his headline slot at this year’s Groovin’ The Moo festival, Florida rapper Denzel Curry has announced a solo Australian & New Zealand tour, first popping by Auckland and then heading across the ditch to perform in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

While a handful of other acts from the festival have already announced their own sideshows, including Eliza Rose and bbno$, there’s little doubt Curry’s headline shows will be easy sell-outs considering he has become one of the most in-demand rappers in the game. It certainly helps that his most recent album, last year’s jazz-inflected Melt My Eyez See Your Future, was stacked full of heady bangers mixing his frenzy-inducing style with thoughtful, highly-skilled raps and bone-shattering production.

The ‘Ricky’ emcee has been down under quite a few times, but these are easily the largest venues he has played to date. In Sydney, Denzel Curry’s Australian tour will kick off at Hordern Pavilion on Thursday, April 27, before he hops on down to Melbourne’s Festival Hall on Friday, April 29 and wraps up at Brisbane’s Fortitude Music Hall on Wednesday, May 3.

Denzel will perform at Groovin’ The Moo alongside co-headliners Skepta and Fatboy Slim, as well as a host of international and local hit-makers.
