The habitually secretive Donald Glover AKA Childish Gambino has never been one to restrict himself with silly notions of conventional marketing or even conventional release platforms. So his surprise album release should oddly enough be – not a surprise? Yeah… I’m still trying to wrap my head around that cognitive Mobius strip too.

The twelve-track drop is currently being hosted on a dedicated site by the name of donaldgloverpresents.com. The link was initially tweeted by a random Twitter user before being retweeted by members of Glover’s management. And before you call bullshit, we assure you that this is in fact the real deal.

This release includes a single you may already be familiar with, Feels Like Summer’, in addition to an entire litany of previously unheard tracks featuring the likes of 21 Savage, SZA, Ariana Grande. As per the usual, Glover has pushed the envelope with funk/soul samples (in addition to samples of his daughter in conversation), confronting electronica, ethereal harmonies, and something I can only describe as whole ass vibes.

Currently, the album is untitled with speculation that Glover himself is looking to the fans for a name. There is, however, album artwork to accompany the aural experience which depicts an illustration of the world on fire.

Start your week right by listening to the full album here (we promise you won’t regret it).
