Itโs finally here. After years in development limbo, with Sacha Baron Cohen (Ali G, Borat, Bruno) initially signed on to lead and Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men, Superman Returns) initially signed on to direct, the Freddie Mercury and Queen biopic weโve all been waiting for has arrived. And it looks glorious.
Rami Malek doesnโt play Freddie Mercury. Rami Malek is Freddie Mercury by the looks of this first glimpse at Bohemian Rhapsody. The Mr Robot actor appears to do nothing short of embodying Mercury. Now directed by Dexter Fletcher (Eddie The Eagleโฆ I knowโฆ), the film will follow the makings of a legendary bandโ arguably one of the greatest in the 20th centuryโ centred, of course, on Mercury himself.
As the tagline reads, fearless lives forever. An apt description for the story at hand regarding Mercury, as well as the production of the film itself.
