As we reach the end of Toxic King Spring with Hot Boy Summer fast approaching, it must be said – there were two gentlemen we haven’t heard enough from recently. But that’s all about to change. Because their new joint project Her Loss from 21 Savage and Drake is about to take over the world of music… and give 16 songs worth of Instagram captions to the worst people you know.
This is the second studio album to come from Drake in 2022, after trying his hand at dance music with Honestly, Nevermind back in June. 21 Savage, on the other hand, has not released a full-length album since 2020’s SAVAGE MODE II collaboration with Metro Boomin.
Together, the pair have produced some of the safest AUX choices ever from ‘Sneakin‘ (2016), ‘Issa’ (2017), ‘Mr Right Now’ (2020), ‘Knife Talk’ (2021), to ‘Jimmy Cooks’ earlier this year. In the music video for the latter, which premiered on 21 Savage’s birthday, the visuals are interrupted at the 1:25-mark, with text reading: “Her Loss – album by Drake and 21 Savage – October 28, 2022”.

Unfortunately, Her Loss was not released on October 28 after OVO producer Noah “40” Shebib contracted COVID-19 during its mixing and mastering process, postponed for another week. Which brings us to present day. Right here. Right now. November 4, 2022.
The cover art features a portrait of the model Qui Yasuka (AKA Suki Baby) and the album includes a surprise feature from Travis Scott on the track ‘Pussy & Millions.’ You’ll never guess what that one is about.
The marketing rollout for Her Loss has been nothing short of hilarious. Drake and 21 Savage have been undertaking a fake press run, parodying some of the common album promotion tools. From the fake Vogue cover and “In My Bag” segment, fake NPR Tiny Desk Concert, to the fake Howard Stern interview where Drake confesses to watching the “highest tier of porn” daily and dating “four or five” women at once.
Anyways, enough chit-chat. You can listen to the full album below:
