The unthinkable has happened. After years of rumours about a potential reunion, Liam and Noel Gallagher have buried the hatchet to reform Oasis for a 2025 tour.

Earlier this week, the iconic Britpop band teased a huge announcement across their various social media channels before releasing a statement declaring, “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

After splitting up in 2009, the band will be hitting the road in 2025, playing 14 shows across the UK and Ireland. For some, this tour came as a bit of a shock as the Gallagher brothers have been infamous for their hatred of one another.

After Liam teased the idea of a reunion in 2023, Noel called his brother a “little bit disingenuous” and a “coward”. Liam shot back at his brother, tweeting that “[Noel is] full of shit he HATES oasis fans doesn’t mind them buying his records.”

While the Gallagher brothers have reunited, according to a report published in The Sun, it doesn’t look like any other original members of Oasis will be joining the tour. Instead, it’s been reported that the brothers will be backed by members of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds.

This announcement also comes a few days ahead of the 30th anniversary of Oasis’ debut album, Definitely Maybe. Released on August 29th 1994, the album would reach multi-platinum status in multiple countries, spawning huge hits like ‘Supersonic’, ‘Live Forever’ and ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’.

How To Buy Tickets To Oasis’ Reunion

General Sale

Tickets to the Oasis reunion tour will go live on Saturday, August 31st at 6pm (AEST). For once, time zone differences work out to Australia’s benefit.

You can buy tickets for Oasis’ UK shows here and for their Ireland shows here.

Presale Ballot

If you can’t wait until Saturday, Oasis also announced a presale ballot that’ll allow you to grab tickets ahead of the general sale.

In a statement posted by the band they noted that, “To ensure the maximum number of fans have a fair opportunity to access tickets, applicants will be selected for the pre-sale via a ballot.”

Presale registration is open now and will close at 4am (AEST) on Thursday, August 29th. The band did clarify that successfully getting a ballot slot doesn’t guarantee a ticket. First come, first served, lads.

You can register for the Oasis presale ticket ballot here.

At this stage, it’s too early to tell. However, an Australian tour isn’t totally out of the question.
