In the age where music success is defined by TikTok virality and meme potential, the top artists, songs, and albums as outlined by Spotify Wrapped 2022 offers very little in the way of surprises. To the point where we barely had to change the intro paragraphs of BH’s 2020 article.

Ubiquitous names like Drake, The Weeknd, as well as Taylor Swift 2.0 have once again made strong showing in both international and domestic stream queues with Latin hitmaker Bad Bunny taking the global crown for the third consecutive year; and some Aussie representation in the mix thanks to The Kid LAROI and his infectious earworm of a banger ‘Stay’ (ft. Justin Bieber).

On the podcast front, despite being momentarily dethroned by Kim Kardashian’s true crime series, DMT enthusiast and advocate for primate rights, Joe Rogan, comfortably retained his his #1 ranking the world over followed by Call Her Daddy, Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain, Caso 63 (All Languages), and Crime Junkie. Money well spent by the platform, if you ask me.
