‘Gladiators’ Is Returning To Aussie Screens (And It’s Now Casting)

During the mid-90s, Seven Network had a stab at producing an iteration of the hit Gladiators competition series, which quickly became a Saturday evening staple across the country. But after three seasons (or 70 episodes), it came to an unceremonious end.

Now, following the BBC’s decision to revive the OG series — and almost two decades since Australia received an incredibly short-lived, single-season revival that spanned just 15 episodes — Gladiators is making a comeback; with the search for potential contestants happening as we speak.

“We are searching for contenders at the peak of their physical fitness to take on the new generation of Gladiators,” reads Warner Bros Australia’s official casting call.

“If you have the speed and skill to take on the might new Gladiators.”

As far as we can tell, there aren’t any further requirements aside from being an Aussie resident/citizen, aged over 18 (and under 80), as well as being healthy enough to take on what’s coming.
