No stranger to pushing himself to the limit for screens, Chris Hemsworth has decided to really challenge himself with National Geographic’s Limitless.
Teaming up with an entire line-up of world-renowned experts, the forthcoming documentary series – which hits Disney+ next month – features six challenges Marvel’s Thor must face to unlock the secrets of longevity, i.e. everything from regenerating after damage, maximising strength, building resilience, supercharging memory, to confronting mortality itself.

“What if you could combat aging and discover the full potential of the human body?” reads the official description of Limitless with Chris Hemsworth.
“New scientific research is shattering conventional wisdom about the human body and offering fascinating insights into how we can all unlock our body’s superpowers to fight illness, perform better, and even reverse the aging process.”

“It was one extreme after another – a series of scientific experiments where I was the guinea pig,” Chris Hemsworth recently told Entertainment Weekly.
“I was just in awe of the individuals I was working with who did this day to day. But also, I gained a beautiful understanding and appreciation for how incredible the human body and mind is, and what potential we all have.”
Limitless with Chris Hemsworth has been created and executive produced by the Academy Award-nominated Darren Aronofsky (Requiem For A Dream, Black Swan). The acclaimed director’s company Protozoa alongside Jane Root’s Nutopia, Ben Grayson and Hemsworth’s Wild State, as well as Ari Handel are also involved.
