- A damning Netflix docuseries about Sean “Diddy” Combs is in active development with 50 Cent.
- “This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades,” said the rapper-turned-television producer.
- The project had previously been announced by 50 Cent, though this marks the first time the streamer has officially confirmed its involvement.
After two decades of gleefully beefing, 50 Cent (real name: Curtis Jackson) has secured total victory against the incarcerated Sean “Diddy” Combs — with a Netflix documentary series about the latter’s downfall.
“This is a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far,” 50 Cent and director Alexandria Stapleton told Variety in a joint statement; having previously announced the project during its infancy.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to giving a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives.”
“While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”
Combs, who is currently awaiting trial for sex trafficking and racketeering charges, came undone after the earliest sexual misconduct lawsuit filed by former personal chef Cindy Rueda back in 2017. While it was settled for an undisclosed amount in early 2019, this would mark the beginning of the hip-hop mogul’s demise.
In late 2023, ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura along with three others filed similar (but separate) lawsuits against Combs; as the allegations piled up, over 120 additional victims have since come forward over the last 12 months with far more civil proceedings expected.
Then came the Department of Homeland Security raids of his properties in Los Angeles, New York, and Miami this past March, resulting in seizures of computers along with other electronic devices; eventually culminating in his arrest last month following indictment by a grand jury.

The “what-timeline-are-we-living-in?” cherry on top? He’s currently sharing a cell with disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried (as well as attorney in Alexandra Shapiro).
But back to the matter of that Netflix docuseries…
50 Cent is executive producing through his G-Unit Film & Television banner; while Alexandria Stapleton executive produces for House of Nonfiction in addition to directing. Texas Crew Productions are also attached.
