Rick and Morty has never really been one for a traditional rollout of episodes. What other show in the world premieres an entirely new season on a whim during April 1st? It’s to the point where fans are still processing the recent adherence to a production timeline. Now, in the lead-up to the forthcoming sixth season, the Emmy Award-winning Adult Swim series is kicking it up a notch with WORMAGEDDON.
Described as a completely immersive “living episode,” this global activation features 14 totally unique scenes – nine of which await discovery – as part of an international global treasure hunt involving every continent except Antarctica. Yes… even Australia.

WORMAGEDDON is intended to bridge the gap between season 5 and season 6, scheduled to conclude when the latter hits the airways/streaming queues. At the time of this writing, only five scenes have surfaced.
Here’s every WORMAGEDDON scene discovered so far (5/9):
Casa de Cultura Jesús Reyes Heroles, Coyoacán in Mexico City
Malibu, California
The Netherlands
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
Atlanta, Georgia
“We are so blown away by how engaged and excited Rick and Morty fans are for WORMAGEDDON,” said Tricia Melton, Chief Marketing Officer for Warner Bros. Discovery Kids, Young Adults, & Classics group.
“Each of our hidden builds were found only mere hours after the first clue was posted!”
“It’s so incredible to bring both our fans and our sponsors into this immersive Rick and Morty living episode. Who but Adult Swim could dream up a global treasure hunt that includes invading space worm aliens and State Farm?”
You can follow the ongoing treasure hunt by unlocking clues and uncovering the hidden builds via RickandMorty.com. The first fan to uncover a hidden location in person will be rewarded on the spot with a life-sized golden “Rick” head (keep an eye out for the Aussie site).
Rick and Morty season 6 has locked in a release date of September 4th of 2022 for the US and September 5th of 2022 for Netflix.
