With ‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 just around the corner, set for a very appropriate Halloween release, Netflix has just dropped a final trailer to give us a taste of what’s to come.
The trailer provides a flurry of clues regarding this upcoming instalment. The gang is seen carrying on with their lives after the events of Season 1. Will, while slowly easing back into normalcy, is torn back into the traumas of the past, and is forced to fight for his life. Whatever apocalyptic threat that was faced before in the Demigorgen has now been increased tenfold, with Hawkins as ground zero for the end. Throughout the chaos, Eleven makes an epic return to set things right. We get some further insights into the Upside Down and how some doors cannot be shut once opened. And the one value the trailer really wants to drive home is, there are definitely repercussions to answer for from the first season.
Creators, the Duffer brothers, have confirmed that Season 2 will explore more supernatural themes than sci-fi. But don’t worry, it’ll all still be in the wheelhouse of 80’s nostalgia, and heart-pumping drama.
‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 is set to drop on Netflix Australia October 27th.
