The NBA may have officially entered the off-season after Denver’s historic ascension to the 2022-23 throne, but there certainly won’t be any shortage of basketball-related content. Especially considering Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty season 2 is right around the corner (which finally has a teaser trailer).
Picking up where the “controversial” first season left off, the Los Angeles Lakers will now defend their title against perennial rival franchise the Boston Celtics with the battle for on-court supremacy between Magic Johnson (Quincy Isiah) and Larry Bird (Sean Patrick Small) taking centre stage.
Having laid the foundation for an all-out clash throughout the earlier episodes, a real-life conflict that can trace its origins to the NBA icons’ high school days, the forthcoming instalment promises to deliver more must-see television, as per HBO’s stellar reputation.
