Through the use of advanced footwear technology, the adidas X9000 nods to a cross-section of the gaming and sports worlds, distinguished primarily by a super-responsive sculpted BOOST midsole – areas of which have been placed and created by precise technological calculations for superior sports performance, energy and uncompromising comfort.
With an aim to give runners a feeling of transition between the real and the virtual, the unique build and design process for the adidas X9000 draws much of its irrepressible energy from the midsole and full-length upper for different angles, providing comfort and energy return for the feet.
Seamless accessibility is also a key factor, with an adaptive locked-in fit complemented by an elastic ankle and a knitted upper that’s been enhanced by reflective thermosetting rubber detailing. You’ll have no trouble slipping these on and off, ensuring you’re ready for that run at all times.
Visually striking, the exterior of the midsole is iridescent and beautifully textured, ensuring a strong aesthetical statement even when those feet are moving at lightning speed through the city streets. And to add a little digital pizzaz to it, the glitch-like outsole has adaptive-traction profiles that have been designed based on computer-generated data and, combined with durable rubber, offer superior grip for peak performance through all ground conditions.
The seamless line support bar and the TPU plate on the heel provide extra support and comfort, while stability is solid thanks to two translucent panels that are embedded in the forefront of the outsole. The idea is to mirror the aesthetic of a smart chip, doubling down on the digital concept and highlighting the amount of thought that has gone into the adidas X9000.
