It’s nice when customer feedback is actually taken on board. Melbournians asked and Deliveroo listened, which is why with open arms we are welcoming their new alcohol-only delivery service.

We were lucky enough to be invited along by Deliveroo to sample the fruits on offer, with sommelier Josh Elias leading the way. Our top match? The Nobu Signature Bento Box paired with the Astro Bunny Pet. Nat. – Riverland, Australia.

Orders are limited to 6 bottles of wine and/or 1 case (24 x 375ml containers) of beer and/or premixed spirits and/or 1 bottle of 750ml spirits, but with Deliveroo’s ever-expanding list of casual and fine dining options, the specially curated list of beer, wine and spirits is designed to complement your meal and upgrade your dining experience.

The full line-up of participating bottle shops in Melbourne is as follows:

Blackhearts and Sparrows Brunswick East
Blackhearts and Sparrows Fitzroy
Blackhearts and Sparrows Richmond
Blackhearts and Sparrows Windsor
Bottle House St Kilda
Bottle House South Yarra
Cellarbrations Flinders Street
Fitzroy Social Bar
Grosvenor Hotel
Melbourne Wine Store
Shaw Davey Slum Bar
Thirsty Camel Caufield South

The first roll-out of the service is only available in Melbourne, but expansion to all other Deliveroo operating cities is on the cards for the not-too-distant future. So hold tight, because the best part is that with no food to prepare, you can expect your grog in under 30 minutes, between midday and 11pm, seven days a week.
