IN PARTNERSHIP WITH

As part of its ongoing global celebration of natural flavours and studious craftsmanship, Laphroaig Whisky leaves the sun-soaked shores of Sydney and the bounty of Adelaide to end its whirlwind Australian tour in Brisbane.

In case you weren’t already aware, Laphroaig began hosting this incredible series of one-off events last year. Conceived as an ode to the world’s preeminent culinary pioneers and a showcase of peat, salt and fire, the legendary Scotch has set out to highlight the art of uncompromising food and whisky flavours through partnerships with some of the world’s most innovative chefs.

For its current run in Australia, Laphroaig has already hosted some outstanding dinners at Sydney’s Porteno and Adelaide’s pioneering open-flame Restaurant, arkhé. Now, it’s Queensland’s turn.

This November, Laphroaig will host this one-night-only dinner at Gourmet Traveller’s Restaurant of the Year, Agnes in Brisbane’s kinetic Fortitude Valley. With the Agnes kitchen firing up its two charcoal pits, stories of the fundamental building blocks of Laphroaig’s distinctive flavour — that is, peat, salt and fire — will be told through a special four-course menu complemented by an exclusive Laphroaig whisky tasting and a string of delicious whisky cocktails.

So not only will you be tucking into some of Agnes’ most famous dishes in the restaurant’s exquisite private dining room, which offers full views of the open kitchen below, but you’ll also get a private tasting of some special drops, including the classic 10YO and rare Laphroaig Francis Mallmann 17YO Limited Edition. Note that the space will be transformed with communal dining in mind, all the better to share stories with new friends!

It all goes down on November 2nd, so make sure you’ve got your tickets locked in ahead of the big night. And if you want a goodie bag on the night, make sure you’ve signed up to become a Friend of Laphroaig before the event.

Needless to say, this dinner will sell out, so we suggest getting in fast or missing out on a special night illustrating what has kept Laphroaig at the top of the whisky industry for decades.

This one-night-only dinner is happening on Thursday, November 2nd from 6 PM at Agnes Restaurant (22 Agnes Street, Fortitude Valley, QLD 4006). Tickets are $213 per person and be purchased via Eventbrite.
