In collaboration with Public Hospitality, the team behind Maybe Sammy – Australia’s highest internationally ranked cocktail bar – is gearing up to stage its first homegrown festival between April 12-19, drawing on acclaimed mixologists from around the globe.

Dubbed the inaugural Maybe Cocktail Festival, this week-long series of activations will see bartenders from 15 internationally acclaimed venues (including 12 from last year’s 50 Best Bars list) slinging their signature libations across the entire Maybe Group portfolio.

These include crown jewel Maybe Sammy; classic hotel lounge Dean & Nancy; coffee/aperitivo purveyor Sammy Junior; and of course, El Primo Sanchez – the group’s new soon-to-open Mexican concept, located in Paddington.

While the full lineup of international talent won’t be announced until some time in March, names which are currently already locked in for the Maybe Cocktail Festival include Tres Monos (Argentina), BKK Social Club (Thailand) and multiple U.S. venues including Sweet Liberty and Cafe La Trova.

The kicker is that all takeovers happening throughout the week are free to attend: although we’d wager that seating will be allocated on a ‘first come, first served’ basis – as good of a reminder as any for inveterate boozehounds to set their calendar alerts.
