Patrón knows how to make a splash. Its resumé of memorable moments over the years is one of the best in the luxury spirits game; a rap sheet that includes margaritas at 36,000 feet aboard Patrón-branded private jets and Coachella takeovers.
It’s only fitting that Patrón be the most qualified to host international headliner FISHER aboard MISCHIEF to launch Patrón El Alto, the latest prestige drop by the world’s number one premium tequila.
For an exclusive one-off evening, the 54-metre Baglietto superyacht, fresh off the back of a $15 million refit, hosted the hottest dancefloor in the country on its top deck for just 100 lucky VIPs.
The core of Patrón’s ethos has always been the finer details, including passionate agave harvesters in the fields of Jalisco and hand-blown bottles across its entire range. Aboard MISCHIEF, no stone was left unturned, right down to the sleek Patrón branding across its Pardo 38 tender, despite the huge brand moment being 12,000 kilometres from Patrón’s Mexican HQ.
Guests were welcomed by an ensemble of bottled cocktails, including the Patrón El Cielo Margarita and Perfect Paloma, as well as an Old Fashioned and Signature Serve of Patrón El Alto.
Made using 100% Blue Weber agave, the plants sourced for Patrón El Alto are cultivated in the highest parts of Jalisco, Mexico, where the sweetest agave grows. The unique blend of Patrón Extra Añejo, Añejo and Reposado unlocks the best blended, aged tequila profile possible. Package it up in a party-ready emerald green bottling and it’s the perfect sipper to celebrate moments big or small.
On the main deck (sparkling from its recent overhaul and tastefully branded at every turn), a caviar station and central bar welcomed guests as they stepped off the tender. A floor above, a Patrón El Alto ice luge was the centrepiece for the warm-up round of drinks, complemented by oysters, zesty ceviche, and crispy canapes like kara-age fried chicken and fresh calamari.
As the clock struck twilight and the vessel cruised under the looming Sydney Harbour Bridge, FISHER took to the stage floating strategically over the jacuzzi to belt out his global dance classics straight from residencies in Ibiza and Las Vegas. The tunes were as contagiously electric as the drinks were deliciously indulgent.
Patrón El Alto ($315) is now available at Dan Murphy’s and select premium F&B venues Australia-wide.
