A good whiskey launch should make some noise. And when it’s created by The World’s Most Awarded Distillery, Buffalo Trace and crafted by Chris Stapleton – the bearded, whiskey-loving, country music legend – you know it’s going to be one hell of a good time.
Traveller Whiskey has officially touched down here in Australia, and to celebrate the momentous occasion, Jolene’s Sydney is hosting a month-long whiskey shout. Yes, free Traveller whiskey from Tuesday to Saturday for an entire month.
Kicking off on February 27th and wrapping up on March 27th, punters will be able to sample the goods every night at 8 PM. No ticket, no cover charge, just smooth full-bodied American Whiskey poured on the house.
Stapleton’s Traveller Whiskey has already garnered significant acclaim, earning the Best American Blended Whiskey at last year’s Whiskies of the World Competition and another gold medal at the Spirits Business American Whiskey Masters.
Make no mistake, this isn’t another shallow celebrity booze collab – this is a proper American Whiskey, made with a completely unique blend of whiskeys from Sazerac’s network of Award-Winning Distilleries, leveraging the world-leading blending expertise of Buffalo Trace Distillery.
The meticulous production process essentially ensures a depth of character that embodies the very essence of premium American whiskey. The result? Complex aromas of vanilla, aged fruit and buttery shortbread rounded off with caramel and touch of oak. On the palate, you can expect a touch of sweetness, followed by spice, toasted nuts and flavours of oak.
Whether you take it neat, on the rocks, or in a carefully crafted cocktail, the dram delivers an experience that whiskey aficionados will surely appreciate.
To keep the momentum rolling, Jolene’s has also curated an exclusive cocktail list built around Traveller. The Old Fashioned lets the bourbon flex its muscles with a straightforward, classic approach; The East Kentucky Sweet Tea leans into its smoother, slightly sweeter profile, offering a refreshing sip; while The Parachute brings a citrusy kick that brightens up the whiskey’s deeper notes.
And because no whiskey experience is complete without the appropriate culinary pairing, Jolene’s is serving up Traveller Tater Tots: golden and crispy bites piled high with smoked brisket, rich liquid cheese, along with a Traveller-infused BBQ sauce that ties it all together with a subtle smoky whiskey finish.
While there’s no guarantee Stapleton himself will pop in for a tipple, it’s not exactly out of the question – the Traveller pop-up is conveniently timed to align with his forthcoming All American Road Show tour, which lands in Sydney on March 4th-5th.
Consider this your invitation to get around a world-class whiskey and experience country greatness without having to drop a single cent. Circle your calendars, rally the crew, and get to Jolene’s before the clock strikes eight.
