Dave Grohl has proven all he needs is a BBQ station to be a rockstar of a human being after slaving away for 16 hours to feed 450 homeless people in the midst of a major snowstorm.
According to TMZ, the Foo Fighters frontman and former Nirvana drummer served up everything from ribs and pork butt to brisket (as well as cabbage, coleslaw, and beans) during an overnight effort at the Hope of the Valley rescue mission in Los Angeles.
“And in the middle of our 350 mile run to end homelessness, we got the coolest video ever from Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters,” Hope of the Valley CEO Rowan Vansleve captioned his video post of Dave Grohl in action.

“Not only did [he] wish us luck, but he cooked for hundreds of people who live in our shelters in the middle of one of the worst storms. Nothing but love and respect for Dave.”
This isn’t the first occasion Dave Grohl has fired up the XXL smoker as an upstanding member of the community.
Back in 2018, he cooked up a mean feed for the firefighters at Fire Station 68 in Calabasas during their battle against the wildfires ravaging California at the time.
A little more recently in 2021, at the height of the pandemic, Grohl collaborated with local San Fernando Valley eatery Casa Vega to create the Foo Fighters Especial combo plate; fundraising for No Us Without You LA – a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing food relief for undocumented hospitality workers.
There goes my hero, indeed.
