As far as we’re concerned, Mould: A Cheese Festival is the only Aussie festival that really matters in the 2023 calendar year.

Presented by Dairy Australia in partnership with Revel (the same team behind Pinot Palooza) and Nick Haddow (Bruny Island Cheese Co), the mother of all domestic cheese events has been delivering “brie-lliant” tasting experiences across the country since 2017. Now, it’s back to dazzle the dairy inclined; and punish the surprisingly large demographic of the population’s lactose intolerant living without basic self-restraint.

For just $40, you’ll get to sample over 100 of the very finest in homegrown cheeses crafted by 27 regional producers – ranging from the textured, earthy, and crumbly to the gooey raw milk varietals (and everything else in between) – paired with expert conversation/masterclasses regarding what’s filling your belly dubbed Cheese Chats, and the plethora of booze on hand to wash everything down.

For a more substantial feed, you’ll be happy to hear there’ll be plenty of food-related options available to purchase from local chefs, both featuring and complementary to – you guessed it – cheese. Bonus: the price of admission also buys you a Dairy Australia cooler bag and a wine glass to mark the occasion. How good.
