These are the 50 Best Burger Joints in Australia

Burgers have seen a huge rise to prominence across the globe over the past decade – quickly moving from a basic and cheap substitute for a nourishing meal; into a gourmet fare that, for the best of which, many are willing to line up for hours to get their hands on.

Like anything concerning the palette, subjectivity has a strong role to play in determining which is your favourite burger, and there’s no doubt your favourite burger is different to your best mates favourite burger. The beauty of food reviews though, is that after enough of them, trends and consensus tends to appear.

With this in mind, the team at Yelp ran some numbers through their system and have figured out exactly where you can find the best burgers in Australia. Victoria came out on top with 14 burger joints making the top 50, with NSW on 10, South Australia had 8, Western Australia 7, Tassie and Queensland on 5 respectively, and ACT with 1. Seems like somebody needs to get up to the Territory and open a good burger shop stat.
