Youโve most likely spent the entire weekend enjoying the fruits of Uber Eats, but donโt put the app down just yet. For the next 48 hours only (thatโs Sunday and Monday for anyone too hungover to think right now), Uber Eats will be offering 50% off groceries from supermarkets like Woolies and IGA, which should take care of anyone who hasnโt stocked up on the next few weeks worth of produce.
Did you happen to see a giant 300kg pickle being flown over some of Sydneyโs most famous beaches this morning? Thatโs relevant here. Uber Eats chose National Pickle Day to launch the half-price groceries offer, celebrating the occasion by floating a phallic veggie to remind people that the service has expanded its grocery selection and is set on becoming much more than just the facilitators of gelato and burgers for your next binge-watch.
โUber Eats may be synonymous with food delivery, but we are continuing to expand our offering to include more everyday categories like grocery, convenience, alcohol, pharmaceuticals, and pet supplies,โ said Regional General Manager for Retail at Uber Eats ANZ, Lucas Groeneveld.

Being able to dial in some fresh fruit and veggies, or a last-minute bottle of wine before a dinner party, is an absolute game-changer when it comes to how we manage our time and some of the most essential parts of home-living. Throw a half-price offer on top of that.
All grocery orders made with Uber Eats from now until midnight on Monday will be slashed by 50% as long as youโre typing in the code PICKLE in the promotions section of the Uber Eats app before you pull the trigger.
After that, there will be a new pickle themed banner on the app in perpetuity, under which a curated selection of last-minute grocery items will always be available for whenever the need arises.
