Standouts of the lot include the Summit VECTIV Pro 3 ($400) for ultra-distance trail-racing; and the VECTIV Enduris 4 ($270) for everyday runners to tackle uneven terrain.
IKEA SPETSBOJ Table Lamp
You can always count on IKEA to come through with an affordable flex. Recently, the Swedish purveyors of interior design have released this simple yet effective table lamp – available in green, white, yellow – capable of spreading soft mood light, both upwards and downwards; and comes with a metal shade if you want to dim.
“I wanted the shape of SPETSBOJ to be simple and more like a decorative object than a table lamp,” explained designer Mikael Axelsson.
“I thought about various geometric shapes, and it didn’t take long before I decided on having two cylinders with different proportions.”
“The dimmer function is intuitive and works just like the shutter on a camera – you just turn the screen. The lamp is also both timeless and small, so it’s easy to place wherever you like in your home. Maybe in the bookcase or on your bedside table?”
Fujifilm Australia’s GFX Gigs
Fujifilm Australia are doing all the aspiring photographers out there a solid by helping them turn their passions into a reality (and get paid to do what they love in the process). Specifically by offering them the opportunity to shoot one of the following unique assignments:
- Fashion
Going behind the scenes at one of Australian Fashion Week’s most exciting runway shows, Romance Was Born. - Landscape
Capturing the beautiful Mount Kosciuszko with a photography tour via helicopter. - Performing Arts
Going behind the scenes at Opera Australia’s latest show, The Marriage of Figaro.
Photographers will also get hands-on experience with the new Fujifilm GFX100RF digital camera – the perfect tool for professional photographers and enthusiasts alike.
One photographer will be selected for each of the above based on their portfolio and a 150-word summary on why they should be chosen. Applications for the GFX gigs are now open via the link below.
