Every week, Boss Hunting’s editors spend far too much time scouring the web: in search of the coolest gear, food & drink, and destinations worth trekking to across the globe.
In our latest edition of ‘Good Finds’, we’ve got barista-grade electric kettles, a revamped motel worthy of your next Gold Coast getaway and much more.

Fellow Stagg EKG Electric Kettle
A ubiquitous sight at every specialty coffeeshop in inner city Melbourne/Sydney, Fellow’s Stagg kettle is next to essential if you want consistent pourover at home.
The narrow gooseneck spout gives you complete control over the placement and speed of your water pour. As for temperature, the Stagg’s accompanying docking station lets you set the desired heat anywhere between 57 and 100° C.
There’s even a built-in stopwatch function — so you can fine-tune the duration of your pour down to the second.
Rolls-Royce Cameo
This is, as one car journalist joked, probably the only Rolls-Royce built to withstand the cost of living crisis. Unlike a lot of the British motoring marque’s other desk toys, the ‘Cameo’ isn’t modeled after any specific “full-sized” car — instead, distilling the “essence of [the brand’s] motor cars in their most elegant form”.
Solid wood and polished aluminium provide the bulk of the Cameo’s frame. And, for all the would-be coachbuilders at home, we can confirm some element of assembly is involved. Granted, probably not as much as what you’ll find in the Black Badge Cullinan — but you get the idea.
AURALEE x New Balance ‘Made in USA’ 990v4
New Balance’s ‘MADE in USA’ collection has traditionally been a springboard for some of its most creatively rich collaborations — with names like JJJJound and Aimé Leon Dore. Yet even by those already high standards, the brand’s first link-up with Auralee has struck a chord.
Japanese designer Ryota Iwai’s cult label is known for its lived-in colour palette and use of the most sumptuous textiles: both themes that you see playing out across the silhouette of New Balance 990v4.
This streamlined iteration of the best-selling 990 platform is available in taupe or ‘dusty blue’ colourways. True to the ‘MADE in USA’ lineage, expect premium materials of mesh, suede, and nubuck.
Launching today on the New Balance Australia e-store, and the brand’s Galeries space in Sydney.
Cheshire Cat Motel Reopens, Gold Coast
Reopened in 2024, The Cheshire Cat updates the Gold Coast’s quintessential beachfront motel experience with a hefty dose of contemporary style. Ideal for discerning couples and low-key families, this property (located in the heart of serene Palm Beach) combines 6 Queen Rooms; along with a 2-bedroom apartment known as ‘The Bungalow’.
Despite The Cheshire Cat’s intentionally retro posture, the creature comforts are all reassuringly modern. Each room is equipped with a smart TV, an on-the-house minibar, and bathrooms loaded with haircare by Evo.
Queen rooms starting at $275 per night.
Loake ‘Aldwych’ Black Oxfords
Even if you don’t have festive season outfitting on the brain, these classic captoe oxfords from British shoemaker Loake are an excellent addition to your wardrobe any time of year.
Like a lot of the best men’s shoe brands, Loake incorporates a couple of key features into all of its footwear styles.
These fairly down-the-line oxfords, for instance, are made using non-corrected black calf leather; and the soles are attached using what’s known as a Goodyear welt — ensuring they can be resoled conveniently for long-term wear.
