Looking like something that wouldn’t be out of place in a Bond or Ironman film is ‘The Edge’, a stunning super contemporary home in the north Queensland resort town of Port Douglas. The use of concrete in the building’s shell is so prevalent that a lot of the external shots make it seem like the building is just a concept.
Designed by renowned architect Charles Wright, ‘The Edge’ was awarded the Queensland Building of Year 2015 and while it won’t be everybody’s cup of tea (it’s been on the market since May), you’ve got to admit that it’s strikingly unique.
Interestingly, ‘The Edge’ only has two bedrooms and was built for a late Sydney industrialist who never got to enjoy the property. It has a 10 metre infinity pool, four bathrooms, a large open backyard, and an incredibly cool master bedroom with a cantilevered granite daybed on the balcony.
“The Edge” is now listed for sale for $6.5 million through Raine & Horne.
