While the prevailing sentiment surrounding artificial intelligence-related coverage seems to be doom ‘n’ gloom these days, with everyone from the Godfather of AI Geoffrey Hinton to Elon Musk sounding the alarm, Stanford student developer Bryan Chiang has leveraged the power of ChatGPT for a hilariously irreverent project dubbed RizzGPT.
Essentially, it’s a miniature teleprompter embedded onto a pair of otherwise ordinary glasses that feeds you sentences in live-time based on whatever audio prompts it picks up. In other words, the war on awkward, middling, and horribly conceived conversation has been taken to the next level.
“Say goodbye to awkward dates and job interviews,” Bryan Chiang tweeted along with a on-camera demo of the wonder device in question.
“We made RizzGPT – real-time Charisma as a Service (CaaS), it listens to your conversation and tells you exactly what to say next. Built using GPT-4, Whisper, and the Monocle AR glasses.”

For anyone over the age of 25 who’s wondering, “What does rizz mean?”- it’s essentially a Gen-Z umbrella term that encompasses the ability to spit game, seduce romantic interests, exhibit plenty of charisma – “rizz” being short for the middle part of “charisma” – and just communicating well in general.

Since the RizzGPT smart glasses first caught the attention of media, Bryan Chiang has updated the next-gen specs with LifeOS – a system that recognises faces and displays relevant information based on messages you’ve exchanged with one another.
“The interplay of AI and AR will redefine personal computing and help us unlock our full potential,” tweeted Chiang, who hopes his innovation can help those with social anxiety and struggle with public speaking.
“We imagine a new era of ambient computing enabled by AR + AI, where everyone has their own personal assistant available 24/7. It’s like having God observe your life and tell you exactly what to do next.”
