Oohh baby. It’s getting real now. Five months on from the announcement of the hardcore Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio GTA, Top Gear has been among the first to gaze upon the limited-run beast in the flesh.
We firmly believe that the original Giulia Quadrifoglio is a curvaceous, seductive and lightweight joy that leaves you with a grin running from ear to ear, so news of a weaponised upgrade to the already fantastic all-around package arrived to much delight here at Boss Hunting.
The top lines? Less weight, more downforce – thanks to Alfa Romeo’s F1 partnership with Sauber Engineering. You also have dual centre-mounted Akrapovic titanium exhausts, beefy wheel arches and carbon-ceramic brakes as well as optional racing seats, a roll cage and a menacing rear wing.
Alfa is only building 500 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio GTA’s and race-specific GTAm’s combined, so you better pick up the phone quick smart if you want to nab one for your next Wednesday night at Eastern Creek.
