If you enjoy nothing better than a weekend out on the open ocean, then a ticket to the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show has your name written all over it. As a further drawcard to the southern hemisphere’s best boat show, the highly anticipated Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer is set to make its public debut, as one of the most compelling luxury motor yachts in the game.
As the newest member of the Ocean Alexander’s Explorer series, the Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer is set to supersede the Ocean Alexander 27E, which was the first of its generation of long-range motor yachts. The launch of this reinvigorated design will add to Ocean Alexander’s current range that spans the Revolution, Legend, and Explorer series – all of which have enjoyed buoyant popularity in recent years in line with the growth of interest in motor yachts.
Just shy of 28 metres in length, the Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer keeps a similar overall profile to its predecessor, however, features a longer front end to allow for a forward deck-level master stateroom. The main attraction of the build is at the rear of the yacht, where you’ll find a large hydraulic platform that serves as the perfect spot for tanning by the lapping water, or for storing two jetskis side by side (complete with a winch arm to lift the jetskis).

On the lower deck level, there’s space for plenty of family or friends with no less than four guest cabins and cabin crew accommodation as well. In addition, the motor yacht boasts a lounge and dining area, a penthouse-inspired entertainment area on the upper deck, as well as a BBQ, bar, and four-person jacuzzi.
