- Aston Martin has revealed the Vanquish Volante, setting two new benchmarks for the fastest and most powerful front-engine convertible.
- The twin-turbo 5.2-litre V12 engine within the Vanquish Volante is capable of 614kW and 1,000Nm of torque; boasting a top speed of 344 km/h and a 0-100 sprint time of just 3.4 seconds.
- The Volanteโs build slots will count toward the overall Vanquish production count of 1,000 units per year, and deliveries are expected to begin in Q3 this year.
Towards the end of last year, Aston Martin announced that the legendary Vanquish would return to production for the first time since 2018, teased in a โscintillating cherry red launch paint and bronze wheel combination.โ Today, the British marque has announced its next evolution in the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante โ the fastest front-engine convertible on the planet.
Under the bonnet, youโll find the same twin-turbocharged 5.2-litre V12 as the coupe, which delivers a frankly preposterous 835PS (or 614kW) and 1,000Nm of torque. This cathedral of noise translates to a top speed of 344 km/h (no hats allowed when the roof is down) and a 0-100 sprint time of 3.4 seconds โ just two-tenths of a second slower than itโs hard-topped sibling, despite an additional 95kg thanks to the K-fold roof.

The soft-top folding roof in question can stow itself away in just 14 seconds, return to its upright position in 16 seconds, and remains operational at just under 50km/h. Of course, chopping the roof off any car usually results in a wobbly mess, but Astonโs engineers have managed to reinforce the bonded aluminium structure to ensure it maintains a โstructural performance closely matched to the Coupe body.โ Very impressive, indeed.
As for its exterior, weโve got classic Aston Martin from the badge to the exhaust. Long, wide, and low, it arrives with a massive vaned grille, sculpted bonnet vents, and a kicked-up Kamm tail at the rear thatโs accompanied by the โshieldโ (which appears to be floating).
Inside, the Volante is just as extravagant, with a beautifully crafted cabin featuring a 10.25-inch touchscreen, 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system, as well as a central button to activate the roof. Sports seats come standard, though thereโs also the option of carbon fibre performance seats for anyone looking to compensate for the extra weight of the folding roof.
As mentioned earlier, the Volanteโs build slots will count toward the overall Vanquish production count of 1,000 units per year. Meaning youโre unlikely to spot too many of them cruising the streets. Australian pricing is also still TBC. As for its expected delivery? Aston Martin is currently targeting Q3 of 2025.
