We’ve all made mistakes at work that have left us wanting to headbutt our keyboard or just go home for the day, but they’re still probably not as bad as this guy’s judgement error. A forklift driver in China has been photographed in the aftermath of dropping an industrial-sized oven on the front of a Ferrari F8 Tributo, setting a new benchmark for a bad day at the office.
First reported by CarScoops, the images and a short video quickly started to go viral after being posted on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, before hitting Twitter and showing the rest of the internet an enormous commercial oven resting on the bonnet of a rosso corsa Prancing Horse. You absolutely hate to see it.
While there’s little context on offer to know exactly where things went wrong, it appears that the oven was being carried by the forklift around the parked Ferrari, before the driver lost balance on his load and it tipped in the direction of the sportscar. Amusingly, the oven looks like it might be a commercial pizza oven which would be a truly upsetting irony if one Italian classic has unwittingly destroyed another.
With the 2023 version of the F8 Tributo setting you back a whopping $484,888, the poor driver is either refreshing his resume or working weekends for the foreseeable future. So if your Monday isn’t going as well as you’d hoped, at least it’s better than our unlucky forklift driver.
