A lukewarm, trangia-cooked meal doesn’t taste better just because you’re camping in the wilderness, which is why the latest Lexus Monogram GX arrives equipped with cooking facilities you’ve never seen in a stock 4×4 before. To make sure every meal is a memorable one — even when you don’t have phone reception — the concept car arrives with a full-sized pizza oven, ice maker, wine storage, and more.

While the 349hp V6-powered off-roader remains at the concept stage right now, the Lexus Monogram GX is a collaborative effort between (you guessed it) the Japanese automaker and the luxury appliance brand Monogram. Brought to life by Monogram’s creative director Richard T. Anuszkiewicz to create the perfect entertaining car, it was first publicly seen last week at the Food & Wine Classic show in Aspen, Colorado.

“Our all-new Lexus GX was designed to highlight the unique duality of luxury and off-roading capability, enabling our guests to create amazing experiences on the road,” said Cynthia Tenhouse, vice president of Lexus marketing. “Together with Monogram, Lexus is taking the GX experience to a new level, where road adventures meet culinary experiences.”

Featuring an interior resplendent in fully customised two-toned patterned camel leather, the hardware details are executed in brass and titanium, while the surfaces are Dekton slate stone. As luxe as it gets.

All counted, the specially customised features of the Monogram GX include:

  • Monogram 30” Smart Flush Hearth Oven — perfect for cooking restaurant-quality pizza.
  • Monogram Forge Heated Ice Press — serving up as many ice spheres as you need.
  • Exterior Wine and Bourbon Storage — exterior side panels that open up to reveal wine and spirits storage.
  • Wine and Spirits Bar — the bar comes complete with bar tools, glassware, bitters, and a folding cutting board.
  • Chilling compartments — a fridge to keep your ingredients fresh.

In essence, the Lexus Monogram GX is the perfect vehicle for multi-day camping trips or simply making rival dads fume with jealously as you serve oven fresh slices to the kids post Saturday sport. As mentioned, the car remains a concept at this stage, but we’re salivating over the thought of this becoming a reality.
