Had a s**t week? At least you didn’t accidentally torpedo an Alfa Romeo Giulia (which didn’t belong to you) straight through a brand-new Porsche 911 (which also didn’t belong to you).
The incident occurred recently at a car dealer in Louisville, Kentucky, after a customer dropped off his beloved Alfa Romeo Giulia for servicing.
The dealership’s mechanic reportedly took the car out for a test drive, lost control in a very bad way, and somehow ended up planting it on a Porsche 911 Cabrio; damaging an additional Mercedes-Benz GLE and Dodge Charger in the process.

Originally appearing on Reddit (with the posts here and here), the owner of the Gulia stated: “I took her in for minor repairs and came back to this.”
The Italian sportscar does house a 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine capable of generating 375kW/600Nm — something that should always be treated with respect. However, it still doesn’t explain how the aforementioned mechanic managed to reach the necessary velocity for all this eye-watering destruction.
“They finished repairs and a tech took the car for a test drive. They told me someone cut him off causing him to swerve,” the owner explained.
“I was told the tech was test driving and got cut off, lost control, ran over a tree, and went airborne.”
Fortunately, nobody was hurt. But it’s a good reminder that fast cars have more than enough power for things to go very wrong, especially when you haven’t driven one before.
